“My times are in your hands….” – Psalm 31:15

Thought

“This is my time!” We’re all familiar with this proclamation. We’ve likely expressed it ourselves, or at a minimum heard someone else make the claim. It’s a bold and revealing statement.

It’s most often used upon the realization that we are either on the threshold of something transformative or in the midst of something transformative. It also demonstrates that we’re present. We’re able to see the forest from the trees.

But now what? Where do we go from here? The world will tell you to cling tightly to the moment, whatever you do, don’t let it go. Maximize your gains. Take it all in! This is unfortunate, in actuality, we’re called to let go in these in these moments. If we are going to maximize our contributions, we must give it all away. We must put it in his hands.

Don’t be deceived into thinking there will only be “one time.” Our transformative journey is full of “my times.” We just have to be bold enough to step into them, aware enough to recognize them, and humble enough to place them in his hands.
