“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” - Romans 5:3-4

Thought

There is a world of difference between theory and experience. It’s one thing to say:

“I think this will work when the time comes..”

and an entirely different weight when saying

“I’ve been through the fire and I know this works..”

A transformational leader has trained to embrace change. They know things can change in an instant. Suffering is one phone call away. It’s tough to trust a leader who’s never suffered.

A transformational leader knows suffering has an unmatched capability to transform. They learn to embrace suffering because of all that has come from their proven experience.

The way of the transformational leader will always require two characteristics.
