1/26/21 S-T-C Tuesday: His Perspective

Scripture: “Get behind me… You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” Matthew 16:23

Thought: When it comes to our lives. We’re the one to blame. We’re the cause of setbacks. We’re the one that has made all the choices leading to this moment. We’re frustrated and discouraged because we know things could be different if we did things differently.

We know there is a better way to live; yet we refuse to surrender control. Instead we decided to plan better, work harder, struggle longer, and stubbornly persist on doing what WE KNOW is best for us.

We fail to acknowledge that it is in fact God’s plan that we are working. He invited us to help him. He has gifted us with a particular skillset to use in our mission to further His mission. He leads, we follow. He speaks, we listen. He directs, we execute! We show up, he reveals.

As transformational leaders we have to be humble enough to appreciate that even when things aren’t going our way, they’re certainly still going God’s way and we need to continually work to stay behind God se we can maintain his perspective.
